Begin by listing the essential moments of your wedding day: getting ready start time, ceremony start time, dinner/food time, and an hour before sunset, for example. This will give you a structure to build around. Think of your timeline as a puzzle—once you have the main pieces, you can start filling in the gaps.
2. Account for Travel and Prep Time
Don’t forget to include time for travel between venues if needed, as well as time for getting ready. We recommend planning for at least 60-90 minutes of prep time for the bride and groom, allowing for hair, makeup, and candid getting-ready photos and possibly longer if there are detail photos of the dress and flay lays for the invitation suite and details.
3. Golden Hour Photos
One of the best times for capturing breathtaking photos is during golden hour—the hour just before sunset. Work this into your timeline to make the most of the beautiful, soft lighting. Jessica can help you calculate this based on the time of year and your venue location.
